Preparing for Short Cycle Dispense
Section 3310 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) requires Medicare Part D plans (MA-PDs and PDPs) to employ utilization management techniques to reduce the quantity dispensed per fill for beneficiaries who reside in long-term care (LTC) facilities – currently known as Short Cycle Dispensing.  At AmerisourceBergen, we are focused on ensuring that our customers are armed with the most up-to-date information on Short Cycle Dispensing.  We can help you determine your pharmacy’s challenges to meeting these requirements and make recommendations to prepare your organization. 

Meeting USP 797 Regulatory Guidelines
