Barcoding Station
Our Barcoding Station provides barcodes for all unit of use and injectable medications that are either not barcoded by the manufacturer, or are inadequately coded/unreadable to your BCMA (barcode medication administration) scanner.
For Inadequately Barcoded Medications Solution:
The Barcoding Station supports hospitals of any size to realize the added benefit of barcoded medications.
Improves the safety of barcoding medications in a pharmacy
Scanning the barcoded outer package of bulk medications instead of typing information or choosing from a list improves the accuracy of the barcoding process. In addition, on-screen images are used to further verify that the right barcode is being applied to the right product.
Enables bedside medication verification at the point of care
Barcode medication administration (BCMA) is only effective if the medications are barcoded when they arrive at the bedside. The Barcoding Station allows barcodes to be added to products not already labeled or inaccurately labeled by the manufacturer.
Facilitates Inventory Management Systems to control costs
Improved inventory control can only be achieved if medications can be tracked through an entire hospital. Barcoding medications is typically required to effectively utilize any inventory management system.
Easy to learn, easy to use
Simple, touch-screen operation makes training and usage quick and easy.
Works with your current processes
Barcoded medications can be used for centralized pharmacy dispensing or dispensing from unit-based cabinets. Barcode Station labels are configurable. You may choose to use either NDC numbers or your internal material codes for your medications.
